Yu Hong Chinese is the shiznit!! Quick delivery flattering name what more could you ask for. Oh that's right and real good food. Fortune cookies are about par with most other places.

I am totally blown away from the most recent reviews, I can sum up my empression of the food served at Yu Hong in a few words bland and tasteless... i can understand a misstep on an order but when you have sampled everything in your order ( except one ) and you have only the taste of dissapointmentq on your lips, something is really amiss...!
Lets start with the soups;
hot and sour, neither hot nor sour.
Wonton, the first time i have ever eaten a completely bland chicken broth with tasteless empty wontons made without any Ton in the Won...!!!
1. lemon chicken=syrupy sweet cloing taste on a bed of hard chow mein noodles.
2. coconut curry shrimp a slight bland curry taste combined with limp tasteless shrimp.
3. I cannot comment on the portion of woo shu vegetables because I couldn't bring myself to try another dissapointing entree, but the person who had it for dinner said it was "good"...
A pu pu platter that came free with any order over $30.00 was the only thing IMO, had any flavor at all...
If you put a couple of frozen Chinese entrees in front of me to judge between what we had delivered for this restaurant I probably would have had a hard time discerning the difference between them...
The only other exposure I have had in Denver with Chinese food was in 2016 and was much more of a pleasurable experience than I experienced this time... -

Solid place for Chinese-American food.
I stop by here or order takeout every few weeks to grab lunch. The lunch special is great (choice of rice, main entree AND if you eat there, choice of soup!) and you get a generous amount of food and they have a wide number of menu options.
A couple of minor complaints -
1. The egg rolls aren't the best. They are sort of mushy inside in a way I find unpleasant.
2. The Yushan sauce is more sweet than spicy*
*The menu description doesn't say sweet so you're welcome. :-)
Stick with Kung Pao for a more savory flavor. -

Cold food. Took almost 2 hours to get delivered. When I called they said they would credit me on my next order. Not ordering again so they basically weren't willing to do anything.

So I have to preface this review by saying that I am a VERY picky Chinese food eater. Because I'm Chinese, my parents used to own a restaurant, and they are both chefs. So I have been slightly spoiled my entire life.
For carry out/delivery Chinese food, this place is LEGIT. I think their flavors are so on point and very similar to the way my parents cook their fast Chinese! So I have to say I'm impressed.
I ordered the beef broccoli, general tso's chicken, moo shu pork, and crab wontons.
The beef in the beef broccoli could have been better quality but the flavor was really good.
The general tso's chicken was perfectly sweet and tangy and the batter was not too thick so the chicken was crunchy on the outside still.
The moo shu pork was everything and more. It tasted so similar to my mom's moo shu pork that it freaked me out... MOM!?! DID YOU TELE PORT TO THIS RESTAURANT AND COOK THIS!?! LOL. Delish.
I will definitely order from here again!! It might just be my go-to place because I fear I will be let down by the next!!
